Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2025

This Privacy Policy applies to pubgclipper.com and the PUBG Clipper desktop application. It is intended to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable international privacy laws.

1. What We Collect

  • License validation: Your machine ID (a hardware fingerprint) and license key are sent to our server solely to verify your license. This data is not shared with third parties.
  • Purchase data: When you buy a license, Razorpay collects your payment details. We receive only your name, email address, and payment confirmation. We store your email and name to deliver your license key and provide customer support.
  • Machine ID: A hardware-based identifier used to bind your license to your device. It is stored on our servers for the duration of your license.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your video files — all processing is 100% local on your PC. No footage, clips, or recordings are ever transmitted to our servers.
  • Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind.
  • Browsing history or tracking cookies.
  • Any personal data beyond name and email for purchase transactions.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

This website uses only essential storage:

  • cookie_consent (localStorage): Stores your cookie consent preference. Not transmitted to any server.
  • Razorpay session cookies: Set by the Razorpay payment widget during checkout to facilitate payment processing. These are third-party cookies governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.

We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

4. YouTube API

If you use the optional auto-upload feature, OAuth tokens for your YouTube account are stored locally in a .env file on your machine. They are used only to upload videos to your own channel and are never transmitted to our servers.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the EU/EEA, we process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing your name, email, and machine ID is necessary to deliver your license key and fulfil our contractual obligations.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): We process machine IDs for fraud prevention and to prevent license key abuse.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): We may retain transaction records as required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

License activation records and purchase emails are retained for the duration of your active license plus one (1) year thereafter to support license transfers and customer support requests. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

7. International Data Transfers

PUBG Clipper is operated globally. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay, whose infrastructure is based in India. Your payment data may therefore be processed in India. Razorpay complies with applicable data protection standards. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for any such transfers.

Our license server may be hosted on infrastructure located outside your country. By purchasing a license, you consent to such transfers as necessary to perform our contract with you.
